Q: Do people ever ask you questions?
A: No.
Q: Then why do you have a FAQ page?
A: Cause we got board and since cool bands have one, we thought we should too.
Q: How did you get the name Cobalt?
A: Silas heard it while trying to sleep in chemistry class.
Q: Why was Silas allowed to play with chemicals?
A: The world may never know.
Q: Did you have any other names?
A: Ya, quite a few. The highlights include Sack o' Spuds, EEP 827, AHZ. After having such winners, we decided
to wait awhile before renaming us.
Q: Is it true that you are all related?
A: Yes. We're all cousins. We didn't mean for it to be like this. We had quite a few non-family members
in our band at one point or another. But it just kinda fell into place to have the line up we have now.
Q: Who's the oldest?
A: Tyler. He is 22.
Q: What other band do you sound like?
A: Thats a good question. We've been compared to Pillar, Pink Floyd, Nirvana and Everyday Sunday alot. So maybe
like a mix of them.
Q: Who are your musical influences?
A: We have quite a few influences. But our biggest musical influences are Chevelle, Pillar, most any classic rock
and Jessica Simpson. But not really.
Q: Who writes the songs?
A: Silas writes most of the lyrics. He usually has some idea how the music should go, but the music usually comes
together during practices. We all have our own ideas how a song should go. Its kind of neat actually. It keeps our songs
from all sounding the same.
Q: It must not work very well.
A: Nope...hey...wait a minute...
Q: If Cobalt could play on any stage, what stage would it be?
A: Either Creation Fest or Ozz Fest. Ha, just depends on what band member you ask.
Q: Do you plan to do record an album anytime soon?
A: We're a little torn on that. When we do, we want it to be excpetional, so we are going to keep
writting songs untill we get at least 10 that we absolutely love.
Q: How many do you have so far?
A: two or three.
Q: Where can I get a copy of your demo?
A: At our shows for sure. I think Christian Supply has a few copies of "Clueless and Lark" left. But I'd wait until
our new demo comes out. Its way better.
Q: How could some one contact you for booking or for an autograph...haha, just messing.
We all know no one wants your autograph.
A: That was harsh. You can e-mail us at cobaltisfairlygood@yahoo.com . If you really want an autograph, come to one of our shows or just track us down. If you an attractive young female,
then you could just come to our houses.
